Martin André Roy

After being admitted to the Bar Association of Quebec in 1994, Mr. Martin André Roy has built a significant experience in litigation in front of the Courts, both Provincial and Federal. His practice has also led him to many high stakes arbitration cases and mediation files.

His first years of practice gave him a valuable diverse experience working on high profile cases in criminal and penal law, constitutional matters, administrative law and Aboriginal rights. After a few years of practice with Mr. Jacques Larochelle in Quebec City, he went on to practice law at Pepin Letourneau in Montreal, where he was made partner in 2001. Moving on with the team to Bélanger Sauvé from 2002 to 2009 where he was both a partner an a member of the Management Committee, he then parted to form Roy Larochelle Avocats inc. in 2010 with his partner Mr. Philippe Larochelle.

He has focused his practice mostly in civil and commercial litigation, construction law and class action lawsuits.

Mélanie Bastien

Previous to joining the firm, Me Bastien worked for Via Rail as a Labour Relations officer, representing the Corporation in arbitration and during national collective bargaining with the Labour Unions. Since joining the firm, she has worked in civil litigation files and class action suits, as well as special mandates regarding state responsibility, and corruption allegations in an international context.

Me Bastien is a certified Mediator and offers her services through private and Court appointed mandates.

As an active member of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada since 2004, Me Bastien was co-chair a number of times for their annual Gala and continues to volunteer and fundraise for medical research.

Me Bastien started her career in law at the BDC in 1998 where she had clerked.

Jean-Marie Larochelle

Diplômé de l’Université du Québec à Montréal en histoire et en langue, m. Jean-Marie Larochelle s’est joint à l’étude Roy Larochelle en 2008 à titre d’administrateur du recours collectif du CPM contre le regroupement des CHSLD. M. Larochelle est à présent l’administrateur principal de toutes les actions collectives conduites par le bureau.

Il est chargé de nombreux dossiers en immigration et protection des réfugiés. Il a également participé aux enquêtes sur le terrain en Ouganda et au Rwanda dans le cadre d’un dossier criminel. Il prête son concours en tant qu’enquêteur et gestionnaire dans l’ensemble des dossiers de l’étude Roy Larochelle.

Diana Sandler
